Description
As the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are compliant with the AML/CTF policies, national and international regulations, and industry guidelines. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing account transactions to prevent potential money laundering and terrorism financing activities and reporting these activities to the authorities.

Responsibilities
- Identify unusual/suspicious activity through monitoring/analyzing customer activity
- Ensure understanding of the relationship and characteristics of the customer to determine whether the escalation for further investigation is required
- Prepare descriptive alert narratives that describe the "who, what, where, when, why, and how", including the determination if the activity is deemed unusual/suspicious and any recommendations for further review, if necessary
- Analyze and investigate in accordance with the AML/CTF legislation
- Investigate, analyze and resolve transaction monitoring alerts
- Collect, review and verify documentation and information about the customer
- Monitor and ensure that customer identification procedures are executed in an acceptable manner
- Consult with the management regarding compliance issues
Technical Skills Required
- Excellent critical and analytical thinking
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and strong sense of responsibility is mandatory
- Higher education degree (degree in Law or Economics would be an advantage)
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential
- At least 5 years of working experience in Finance or other related area
- At least 3 years of working experience in AML/Compliance related area
- CAMS certificate would be an advantage
