Would you like to drive development of Nordea’s credit processes and solutions in Group Credit Management? We are now looking for a Business Analyst with a background on data sourcing and data analysis in High Risk Capability and are offering you an exciting opportunity to develop a key capability at the heart of Nordea. Your work will require a good understanding of data, preferably with a combination of SQL skills and business insights, to solve complex problems. You should be familiar with how to set requirements, how to source data and how to analyse data to support common and automated processes. You will work close with the other members of the team and relevant stakeholders to analyse and support implementation of new High Risk solutions and processes for a combination of business as well as regulatory requirements.

About this opportunity

Welcome to the Credit Capability unit and High Risk Capability. We are application owners and we drive the development for high risk credit processes (such as debt collection, default management, forbearance, individual provisions). We work closely with our IT partners, maintaining and fostering close collaborations with stakeholders and development units in the business areas and other group functions.

What you’ll be doing:

Drive analysis and set requirements on sourcing of common data to harmonize existing processes and solutions or implement new requirements. You will Initially focus on the processes around forbearance;
Be the owner of Excel based tools in the high risk area;
Drive implementation and improvement of quality controls;
When required build up specific competencies on data assets as an Subject Matter Expert, data steward or data asset owner;
Use your business knowledge, analytical skills and product competencies to deliver on objectives.
Be self-going and develop good relationships and alignment with your team members and stakeholders in Group Credit Management, Banking Technology and other units
Build up specific competence on processes and applications.
Identify potential and actively propose improvements to streamline the end to end credit processes, to enable automation through data and increase quality.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

Have hands on experience from working with analysis and or development of data in IT or Business to support efficient processes for various use cases
Verify data quality, analyse data sources and work with credit risk data in systems and databases.
Build up and maintain expertise of Nordea’s credit risk agenda; including both understanding of relevant accounting principles, regulatory requirements affecting credit risk and the systems and data flows
Take on responsibility for the job, colleagues and the value chain working as one team to make a difference.
Execute planned tasks in order to ensure that targets are met and be able to share experience from execution with colleagues
Are flexible within your own role to support the achievements of team results
Are self-going with own contribution in the value chain by acting with the customers in mind in all processes to create great customer experiences
Identify improvement areas within own organisation and bring them forward to own leader in order to support the development of these areas in the interest of Nordea

Your experience and background:

At least 1 or 2 years of experience from securing effective processes for consistent data,
Experience from working with SQL, data analysis and Proficient use of Excel
Driver of business requirements and implementation of change
Strong in documenting and conceptualising requirements capturing the essential in complex environments
Data or business analyst experience, and familiar with agile methodologies
Strong understanding of both business and IT and the linkage between
Strong communication capacity: comfortable initiating and driving meetings with stakeholders
Ability to quickly learn and develop an understanding, interest and passion for banking and credits
High level of energy and engagement with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines
A natural “can do” attitude and a high level of curiosity to find solutions
Ability to interact in English, both orally and in writing
