iOS Technical Lead

As Technical Lead, you are responsible for helping your team members with technical aspects of their jobs, such as programming and architecture. Your primary goal is to multiply the effectiveness of the team which you achieve through various activities aimed at improving the output of the team as a whole.The role comes without direct line management responsibilities, but you are expected to lead by influence, not authority, both inside and outside your team. You should be comfortable delegating and be an excellent communicator.

What You'll Do:

Drive technical excellence in the team through code & architecture reviews and coaching & mentoring
Represent the team in wider technical discussions
Drive adoption of best practices and coding standards
Assist Engineering Manager and Product Owner in setting the team up for success
Act as a champion for technical improvements and paying off technical debt
Identify sources of waste and come up with plans to improve processes and solutions
Point out project and product risks and work with the team on managing them
Manage technical interviews for engineering roles
Keep up-to-date with the industry trends and bring new ideas to the team and the company
Be transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes

All about you:

Deep understanding of / excellent programming skills in Swift and/or Objective-C
Extensive knowledge of Apple’s design principles and human interface guidelines
Experience with iOS SDK performance tools, and optimization
A sense of ownership and a passion for technology
Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of design principles, design patterns and different architectures
Knowledge of Mind mapping and UML tools
One or more of the following (skills) would be nice to have

5+ years of software development experience
Ability to break down a system into components
Experience in native iOS development frameworks (API, testing, versioning, deployment, etc.)
high level knowledge of Javascript, React and the most common web technologies
