Tasks
- As part of our overall tour operations and in coordination with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the successful implementation and delivery of flight products and services
- Evaluation, planning and purchasing of the flight capacity required to support Hurtigruten’s operations around the world
- Extracting data from internal/external systems; performing basic statistical, predictive and descriptive data analysis; creating and distributing flight manifests
- Monitoring of purchased inventory and existing flight contracts (and their loading in GDSs); identifying opportunities to reduce costs
- In alignment with Revenue & Loading departments, performing fare calculations for the pricing of flight services and loading flight related components into internal systems
- Take part in negotiations and meetings with suppliers on behalf of Hurtigruten
- Resolve issues as they occur in a professional, flexible and service-minded manner
Assist with ad hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in the travel industry, with strong industry knowledge in air travel and tour operations
- Excellent knowledge of a of GDS (Amadeus or Sabre); good knowledge of MS Office tools (with focus on Excel); experience with travel booking tools is beneficial
- Established analytical skills
- Fluent English; other languages beneficial
- Experience in working with a global network of suppliers and agents
